Chummie Pro Bedside Bedwetting Alarm

I must say that this is truly a blessing for our family. The complete system is what we purchased. It was a toss up between the sensor and the mat based system. We purchased the sensor system first, but after using it for a couple of days realized that our daughter who has autism would not wake up to the alarm quickly enough. The bed was soaking wet. We loved the alarm though. After testing it for a few weeks, we made the decision to purchase the mat based system. The advantage of this is that it would not let urine soak through the mattress and the cord is to long that I could place it in my room and hear it when it went off. This way, I could wake up my daughter once I heard the alarm go off. The mat detected every bit of urine and beeped. Gradually, I started moving the alarm unit closer towards her at night til it was in her room.
Someone wrote that the mats may take time to break into. That may be true. It took our daughter a few nights to get used to the mat beneath the bed sheet.
We used the system for 7 weeks and she has completely stopped wetting. Success at last!

We are a week into using this and have had a few dry nights, and a few wet nights. Each time he does wet the bed however, he wakes up before fully emptying his bladder and can finish going in the toilet. To me, that’s a great feat right there, to wake him up enough to stop himself.

This is the best alarm money can buy. My 8 year old son used it for 3 months and has never wet the bed again.I highly recommend it.

This pad works great for adults too. We had a problem but the customer service was awesome.

Within 2 months of using this product my 6 year-olds bed was dry. She went from nightly accidents to no accidents at all. It really does work.

This is the second time I purchased a bedwetting alarm. My daughter has autism and she needed assistance with a unique system. This brand was recommended by the doctor and it has worked very well.
We have tried another mat system prior to this, but for some reason after a few weeks it stopped and the manufacturer wanted return shipment etc – essentially cost prohibitive.
This alarm has done wonders. In just days, my daughter is starting to have drier nights. Shes not completely dry as yet, but is certainly on the way to getting cured in a few weeks. The progress is faster than I expected. Easy to use and clean. The mat pattern changed colors from silver to brown. I did contact the manufacturer and they said that it was normal and didn’t change performance. True… Its only done what its supposed to do for her. Recommended to everyone 🙂

My daughter has been battling bed wetting for so many years I can’t even remember when she had her last dry night. She is now 13 and I was frantically looking for a solution till I bought chummie.

Worked great. It took a few weeks, but then my son was accident free.

Purchased the alarm and mat for my 7 year old. Diapers save the bed, but were giving him skin rash and it was getting nasty over time.
Heard of this incontinence mat from my co-worker who had been using it for her son so I decided to get one.
Setup was easy and the mat is very thin. Be careful when you set it up though. The mat MUST be put below the bedsheet as it is very sensitive and may cause false alarms. The alarm unit is cute, but loud. Very loud. I am glad it comes with a quiet light flash only mode. We didn’t want to wake him up every time he wets, so we set it on the light only mode. Skin rash has been reduced to zero and he doesn’t need diapers anymore.
Its a good product.

It’s so easy to use this bedwetting system. Had I known that all I had to do was make my son sleep and wake him when he wets the bed, I would never have waited this long.
Basically, my son sleeps on this mat and each time he pees at night, the alarm goes off and wakes us all up.
At first, he had a hard time waking up to it, but that changed quickly. Over the next few weeks as he started waking up by himself and then one night, out of the blue, woke up to use the bathroom…. the chummie had not even started beeping! He has a full bladder and emptied himself in the bathroom.
It’s almost a miracle. The mat does require some cleaning when its wet, but so worth it. I recommend that you use a dry cloth to quickly clean it. It can always be cleaned in the morning when the child is awake with a moist cotton cloth. I use Lysol wipes to disinfect the mats.
My son is proud that he is no longer a bedwetter and we are relieved parents of an ecstatic dry boy.

My daughter is 10 we thought she would never stop wetting at night. I was listening to Dr. on radio and a Dr. was on talking about this product and others, so I purchased this item and 1 month later she is free of pull ups. At night its been 3 months now with no problem.

Good product! my son is 8 and is such a deep sleeper that he just wasn’t able to wake himself up. After a week he has made great progress. I love this product.

Our son struggled very badly with nighttime enuresis, and was almost six before we (thankfully) found this product. It was just the lifesaver. Because of this fantastic product though, he was able to wake himself up and realize when he was starting to wet himself. After about a week of getting into the habit of waking up and going to the bathroom, we started to see that the bed wetting issue was getting to be less and less severe. We were so thankful because we had honestly tried everything!

This product is perfect. We used it for my husbands mother who is incontinent after suffering a stroke. We already had a chummie alarm which our daughter had used. We replaced it with this mat. It wakes us when the diaper is soaking and needs to be replaced.
It does what its supposed to do.

The unit worked out of the box. I put the pad under the bed sheet and plugged the cord into the alarm unit. That’s it! This mat is very comfortable. My son sleeps on it like a baby. It’s very sensitive and easy to clean. The first night, the alarm was loud enough to awaken my son and me. Initial setup took no more than 5 minutes. We did a ‘dress rehearsal’ when the alarm first arrived, this prepared my son for the nights ahead.
An absolute must with the treatment is to praise your child for participating and encourage them throughout the process. Also, place the mat correctly on the bed and secure it in place so it doesn’t move and cleaning the soiled mat after each wetting incident is of utmost importance.
Chummie brought back the self-confidence in my son. A great motivator and an absolute essential for every bedwetting child.

My wife suffered a stroke recently and as a result lost her ability to control her bladder at night. She had periodic wetting events since she returned from the hospital. I called the manufacturer of this alarm since they had a children’s product. They recommended that I try the mat and alarm combination. If it didn’t deliver results, they would refund my money. I didn’t have anything to lose and took up on the offer. The mat appears to be tough and sturdy, but is actually very comfortable. After a few nights, my wife didn’t feel it below her body. The trick is to keep 1-2 layers of clothing between the body and the mat.
We started seeing progress the first night. It has taken a good 3 months, but she is not having accidents anymore. I believe that she may have been retrained. We will discontinue the process in a few days.

One boy down, one to go. I recommend to anyone with a 4-5 year old ready to potty train at night. Results vary; we had a week of sleepless nights and then no more pull ups. Paid for in three months.

This product was purchased from my 14 year old son who did not want to have a sensor on his does body. It was great. Set up an extremely easy. I put the mat below his bed sheet and it started monitoring when he wet the bed. Is has takn a long time though. In about 5 months he stop wetting the bed.

We purchased the alarm and sensor system first. The problem was with the long cord. We were not convinced it was adequate for our son. We migrated to the alarm and mat system. The mat is convenient and more accurate because it picks up where the sensor misses. One classic example is when hes sleeping on his back.In this situation, the sensor will likely not detect any urine leak. The mat is a little more difficult to clean compared to the sensor which is just a wash and rinse solution. Overall a brilliantly designed product which delivered results.
We have been using it for 9 weeks and he is not wetting anymore. We stopped the therapy last week.
We have told our friends about the product and recommended it to family.

Extremely satisfied with this alarm. I have seen significant improvement in our child within a few weeks.

My son is such a sound sleeper that he has needed a pull up for years. Now, at at age 11, it was really bothering him and we needed something to help with the issue. We did not wanting to use medication and asked our pediatrician for a referral. He directed us to bedwetting alarms and we found this one on Amazon. I read the reviews and couldn’t imagine it working for my little one who has been in a pull-up all his life.
This is a wonderful product that I can recommend to everyone who has problems with bedwetting kids. An excellent product that is easy to use and worth every cent. The only negative I can say is that I cant seem to find a spare mat anywhere. It takes a few minutes to clean the mat at night and dry it. Otherwise, an excellent product that does what it promises. WELL DONE!!
The product worked! The alarm is loud and he is waking up independently to use the bathroom several times at night. He has woken up dry at night for several nights in a row now.

The mat doesn’t appear to be very comfortable at first, but once he falls asleep on it, he can’t tell that there is something below him. The added convenience of not having wires on his body and freedom to move in bed is a great feeling. Its making a big difference and hes waking up to chummie.
