No, you can lay directly on the mat. The soft cloth bed mat has been specially designed so you can sleep on the mat without placing any other sheets on top. Unlike some other mat based systems which trigger the alarm with sweat or motion, the Soft Cloth mat will not give false alarms and will sound only when there is a bedwetting event.
The soft cloth mat comes with a detachable 10 foot long cord. Place the mat on the bed and lay on it where you would normally sleep. Next, place the alarm unit on the bedside where you can easily reach it to turn off the alarm at night. Now connect the mat and alarm using the cord. You are now ready to monitor bedwetting accidents
Absolutely. The mat is not just comfortable, but also washer and dryer friendly. Make sure the cord is removed prior to washing and wash the bed mat after every bedwetting accident. When using the washer, use the medium wash, gentle cycle and do not use bleach. To dry the mat, simply lay it flat and let it air dry. If you prefer to use a dryer, use the low heat and setting. Do not wring or iron the mat

I really needed this for my 8 year old daughter. It works really well. The alarm sound is very loud to wake her up and she is learned to use the bathroom in the night. This product was well worth the money I spent to try to help my grandson who has bedwetting problem. I spoke to a customer service about this product and its appropriateness for a seven year old. My 8-year-old daughter wet every night in a pull-up. We tried her not wearing pull-ups which resulted in additional laundry for me. Finally, reluctantly, after reading a lot about bedwetting and how alarms work and what is their success rate when I was convinced I decided to try an alarm. It simply works. After 6 years, we finally found a solution. We thought it would take much longer given our previous experience with other brands but after three weeks our son overcame – almost totally. My son was 2 months short of his 7th birthday when I bought this alarm. First two nights he still wet himself completely even though the alarm went off. For a following week, he woke up as soon as the alarm went off and only got his underwear wet a little bit, then went to the bathroom to finish emptying his bladder. And since then he would wake up at night on his own to go to the bathroom or hold it until morning.

We bought this for my 8-year old son. He was very hesitant and nervous at first, but we practiced it on a washcloth and he was OK with it. Since he’s 8, you can imagine that we were getting very concerned that anything would work! My son absolutely loves his Boost. He still is a deep sleeper and would just not wake up to anything. We tried everything to train him. We stopped giving him liquids at night and even set up an alarm clock to wake him up every 4 hours at night. After losing sleep for months, we finally decided that this was not going to work. We got a Boost and have never been happier. The system is two parts. A cloth mat and a loud alarm. The mat is placed on the bed and the alarm on the table. As soon as he wet, the alarm would go off and wake him up. First few nights, he was scared, then he realized that it was helping him. I wish it were wireless, but this is good enough. My husband and I are in the next room and we heard it just fine and woke him up. Within two and a half months, he stopped bed-wetting!!!

It took a few days for my son to get used to but it does what it supposed to do. It has sounds and it vibrates you could set it up however you want either just the sound or just vibrate or you could set it for both this has been a real breakthrough in his night training!!! Extremely easy to use. Simply place the mat on the bed and sleep on it! It’s that easy. When the cloth mat detects urine, it alerts your child and over time they stop bed-wetting. I go the single mat system and its very comfortable. But regret having not bought the two mat system. My daughter wets several times at night and once the mat was wet, I couldn’t do much. Had to stop monitoring and use a waterproof sheet. Its best to get a two mat system just in case and save extra shipping later.

This is an effective system. I purchased the system with one mat and then had to upgrade to another mat as having a spare one just helped. I am 48 years old and its been helping me so far. It wakes me up at night and alerts me to bedwetting. Not sure how much longer I will need to use it before I can stop bedwetting, but so far, its doing its job and that too very well.

This product is almost perfect. It works so well that I wish I could have given it 5 stars. The basic unit comes with 1 mat which is not recommended. You will need two mats for initial use. Once wet, you need to wash and dry. If your child is like mine and wetting the bed 2-3 times a night, you need to invest in a second mat.

After using some other bedside bedwetting alarms that don’t work, I visted my doctor who reccomended the Boost bedside Alarm. The Mat is extremely comfortable and washing is easy. We just toss the Mat in the washer and it’s clean. Great product.

Our experience with this alarm has been fantastic. This worked for my 9-year old son. He would randomly stay dry but it seemed the last six months the bed wetting was getting to be every night with increasing amounts of urine. The alarm works great at the beginning he totally slept thru the alarm He had a few incidents where he started to urinate, the alarm woke him and he went to the toilet. He has been dry every night since.

It took about a week to really start to work. It seemed like finally he was able to realize the feeling of needing to pee and to know that it’s time to wake up. It has been a month now and he is so happy and proud of himself.

I was a bit skeptical but this alarm did the trick for us and our 8 year old son. It took maybe three weeks and we are now 30 days dry. Amazing product shows result within few weeks but follow the instructions.

Life changing for our 9 year old daughter I read books, changed diet, withheld liquids, pull ups, everything. Finally I decided to try bedwetting alarm. I bought this alarm on my friend’s recommendation.It worked for her. She stopped wetting the bed after five weeks of use. Now she is been dry from 3 months .This alarm is highly recommended for bedwetting problems.

I purchased the Boost alarm system for my son three months. At the time of the purchase, the product seemed to be a bargain and its true. I was hoping to cure my son’s bed wetting for under $100 and this claimed to be the best, most advanced, innovative solution out there.
The mat is very soft and comfortable. My son used a clip sensor before but it came of several times at night when my son moves. So often that many times he wet but the clip got disconnected and it missed the pee and the unit didn’t beep.
This mat is better. It detected urine every time and worked wonders. He has stopped bedwetting in just 2 months.

A truly effective and incredible system. The loud setting is way too loud. Use the softer setting if using for a younger child. My girl is 8 and it worked very well for her.

My son was wetting the bed every night. Since using this alarm, over the last week, my son has wet at an average 2 times a week. We are well on our way to dry nights.

The alarm goes off instantly and wakes the child up so they can get to the bathroom in time. I really love this alarm and would have bought it sooner had I known it was such an excellent product. Super easy to setup as well.

We have tried other training alarms, but this one has been by far the best. When the alarm senses water it flashes, vibrates and has an audible alarm. It is easy to attach and works just fine! Very durable .

Have tried another alarm with a clip before which was useless in my opinion. The boost is so much more comfortable. He just lays on it and it alerts him when it senses wetness. A quick tip: keep it on low volume level. The loud volume is way too loud and will scare the living daylights out of your child.

Fantastic! Simple enough that after the first couple of nights she was able to maneuver the entire operation independently. Within two weeks no wet nights at all. Simply changed our life. If your child has a bed wetting problem stop waiting and just buy it.

I think the alarm was the one thing that gave him total control over the bed wetting. After 3 weeks, he no longer wets the bed at night. I wish I had purchased this alarm earlier. I never expected the success my son has achieved. It is an amazing surprise.

Have been using this alarm for my daughter who just turned 6. Its a very reliable product that never misses a bed wetting accident. The only problem is that there is a small little red light on the unit. When she wets at night. sometimes she doesn’t see the light and freek’s out as she needs to find the unit to turn it off. Other than that its good, but there should be a way to find it at night.

Six-year-old boy who wet the bed every night. After wearing alarm. The results were quick and amazing!!!
